Shut the water off at the main first. It is usually at the meter or where the service line enters the house, and every minute it stays open puts roughly another twenty gallons into the building. We will talk you to it on the phone while a crew is dispatched.
A frozen pipe does not burst where it froze. Pressure builds between the ice blockage and the closed fixture downstream, and the split appears at the weakest point in that section, which is why people look at the frozen spot and find nothing.
The repair should address why that run froze rather than only the split. Insulation, heat tape or rerouting the pipe all cost less than doing the same repair next January.
